In recent years, A-AMS has activated collaborations at various levels, some of which are regulated by framework conventions or operational agreements that specify the fields of action.

In addition to this A-MSA adheres as a collective member to the most important European meteorological association, the European Meteorological Society (EMS) . The active participation over the years in EMS through its activities and in particular in the annual General Assembly, has allowed to lay the foundations in 2013 for the candidacy of Trieste, and of Italy, to host the 11th European Conference on Applied Climatology at the inside the 16th EMS Annual Meeting as a local organizer then as the Meteorological Union of Friuli Venezia Giulia.

Since 2018 A-AMS adheres as a collective member to the Italian Association of Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology (AISAM) while it can be said that it has always been linked by a relationship of deep collaboration and friendship with the Italian Meteorological Society (SMI) contributing to example to the writing of meteorological reports, an integral part of the historic Nimbus magazine.
