--> The "CambiaVenti - The climate emergency and us" project kicks off, through which the Bora Museum Association intends to raise awareness among the young people of Friuli Venezia Giulia on the themes of the climate emergency and environmental sustainability and SMAA is one of the 4 scientific partners.

PART OF AN IMPORTANT EUROPEAN PROJECT

The Museo della Bora Association was ranked second in the "A planet for all" call launched by the Cesvi Foundation, dedicated to third sector entities interested in promoting education and awareness activities on climate change, aimed above all at young people aged between 15 and 35 years. The call is part of the European project 1Planet4all, a three-year program co-financed by the European Union for the awareness and activation of young people from 12 European countries on the issue of climate change and how our choices in the countries in the North of the world can have a profound impact in developing countries.

STARTING FROM THE WEB, YOU WILL GET TO A BOOK

The "CambiaVenti - The climate emergency and us" project will be divided into several phases starting from a dedicated space on the website www.museobora.org. The final result will be a special book: the first “social book” on climate change in Friuli Venezia Giulia.

To achieve this ambitious result, the project involves three phases:

Sharing of knowledge: young people from Trieste and Friuli Venezia Giulia will be involved in 4 informative webinars held by climate experts and activists such as Renato R. Colucci (Alpine-Adriatic Meteorological Society), Saul Ciriaco (Marine Protected Area of Miramare WWF), Florence Colleoni (OGS-National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics), Celeste Righi Ricco (Change for Planet) and Joan Sullivan (Artists and Climate Change)

The contribution of young people: The young people hired in the first phase will share photos and stories of the climate that was and what will come on the website www.museobora.org. The project aims to involve young people of today and yesterday by encouraging intergenerational dialogue and raising awareness on the subject. This phase is open to all citizens of Friuli Venezia Giulia;

The social book, a participatory book: the contributions collected in phase two will build the "social book", the first participatory book dedicated to the climate emergency in Friuli Venezia Giulia. The volume will be presented in February 2022. From digital to paper, for a new exchange between generations.

LET'S TRY TO CHANGE THE WIND ...

"What does the Bora Museum have to do with?" replies the president of the Association, Rino Lombardi:

We are a small association, but we have great enthusiasm. We are optimistic by nature and believe that everyone in their own small way can do something to reduce the fever of the planet. Of course, we all have to help out. Let's try to change the wind. Together!"
